How to play BINGO! Bingo - bingo rules playing bingo, bingo history, bingo …

Bingo is a game that is elegant in its simplicity — and it’s even easier online.
The objective of any style of bingo is to complete the game pattern on your bingo card before any other player. If you do, you have a “bingo” and win the prize. Easy!

When playing online, your bingo cards are randomly selected for you. Most online games give you 3 or 4 cards. Other games let you take more.

Every online bingo game has a caller or a display board for the bingo numbers. The game pattern is also displayed.

It’s important to pay attention to the pattern. You only need the numbers that form the pattern to win the game. Some patterns are much easier than others to complete. The most basic patterns are straight lines in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction. Another simple and popular game is the “blackout” or “coverall” where you have to cover the whole card.

The numbers are announced quickly, usually 10 seconds apart, so you must pay careful attention to the numbers that are called and mark them quickly and accurately on your cards. Some games automatically mark the numbers on your card for you, but that takes much of the fun out of the game.

The play continues until one or more players claim bingo. Then the game stops immediately and the numbers are verified. If there’s a winner announced, the prize is awarded. If there is more than one winner, they split the prize.

Next the players get new cards and a new pattern is displayed. And a new bingo game begins!

Bingo tips

Bingo tips: There is very little you can do to influence or predict the outcome at Bingo. Bingo is a game of luck and is played primarily for fun. However, below are some useful tips submitted by visitors.

Bingo tips

Never play more cards than you can watch, be careful of “play all you want for $” you’ll end up going nuts trying to watch all your cards!!!

Never bang while you are dabbing, dabbers work better if you dab lightly. If you bang hard chances are your dabber will leak. - Submitted by avid player.

Paper cards with lower card numbers (free space #) tend to have the numbers closer together card #1 (B-1, 2, 3, 4 & 5; I-16, 17, 18, 19 & 20). Longer games like Coveralls tend to draw numbers in sperts close together. 16 17 then 19 and 20 come out. To win more coveralls, try to come in early and get the first set of paper cards issued. On big nights managers stock the counter with plenty cards usually the ones on top are the lowest free space number cards.

Check the next coverall for yourself. Notice the flashboard. Lighted up numbers usually in sets by the 30′th number called. - Submitted by: Chris Dudak Bingo Manager Extraordinaire!

Be curtious to those around you. Do not yell out loud the number you need!

Burning the number (on paper cards) does not mean that it will come out the next time.

Buy a card for a neighbor once a night. You never know when you will want one more game when your wallet says it’s time to go!

Share the wealth when you win. Toss out a lucky dollar to those around you when you win. If they win a larger jackpot, they could return the lucky dollar (ten fold)! Especially if they win with your lucky dollar!

If you want to win at bingo. Play bingo on nights that are generally slower for the operators (Monday - Thursday usually less players than weekends). Being a game of chance if there are fewer players then there are fewer cards in play. If you have as many cards as you can comfortably play and there are fewer cards in play, due to lower crowds, then you have a larger percent of cards in play. Odds in your favor? I think so! Especially if the hall you play at offers electronic bingo (computer bingo) and you have 2 or 3 cards per game.

Don’t continually gripe to your partner about your lousy numbers. It really gets on your neighbour’s nerves.

Don’t forget to bring tape. Some special games are played on single strips purchased separately, and it’s easier to dab them if they’re taped together. Hint #2 - tape on the back, not the front.

Justice for Bingo

Bingo has been used countless times for charity. This has given bingo its friendly and wholesome reputation. But some guys just have the urge of exploiting this goodness. These guys are the likes of Robert J. Ford and William J. Tway.

Just who are Robert J. Ford and William J. Tway? Well, they are the operators of Big bucks Bingo which is situated in Garden City. For almost ten years, these two men have been giving a lot of games to many people. They even contribute a lot to charity. But as it turned out, they have actually taken more money than they have supposed to.

April of this year, Ford and Tway were charged with tax fraud. They did not declare the exact amount of what they earned, actually, they declared much less than they supposed to. As a result, they were paying for fewer taxes.

Tax fraud is a serious case. No one should fake their income tax returns however inviting it might be. Ford and Tway might have taught that they can get away with it. But we know that in reality, no one can.

What is more appalling with these two guys is the fact that they claimed they gave bigger amount of money to charity than they actually did. As part of their punishment, officials required them to give twenty percent of their yearly revenues to various charities. Now that is a very wise punishment.

This is good news for bingo players. Now you know that the government is watching the institutions in which you play bingo. You must feel safer now, knowing that the government makes sure that nothing illegal happens in gaming facilities such as bingo clubs. This makes the people trust the government system more. And now, you know that other bingo clubs are more careful on their operations, scared of breaking any rule.

It is a shame that there are people who would use charity as front for their evil plans. However, rest assured that the government is closely monitoring every bingo club that claims to help charitable institutions.

Lesson of the story is, if you want to help, do it honestly. Do not pose as a hero and deceive others. Know that one day, your cover will be blown by those who know how to expose people like you. Lastly, do not taint the game that so many people love, which is bingo.

For all the others, just continue playing bingo. There’s nothing bad about it. There are just some people who want to destroy its name.
